Game Rules

Last updated: 4 June 2026

These game rules (the "Rules") govern participation in the fantasy-cycling game offered by CyLimit. The game is operated by CYLIMIT, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 917 501 298, whose registered office is at 6 rue d'Armaillé, 75017 Paris, France ("CyLimit", "we").

These Rules supplement the Terms of Service and Sale, the Marketplace Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Responsible Gaming page. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict regarding gameplay, these Rules prevail.

Your gaming activity may be dangerous: loss of money, family conflicts, addiction, etc. Find our advice at joueurs-info-service.fr (09 74 75 13 13, call not surcharged).

1. Scope and supplementary rules

These Rules apply to all competitions, divisions and game events offered by CyLimit. Rules specific to a given competition, division or special event ("Special Event", for example a major stage race) supplement them and are shown on the relevant game page at the time of entry. In the event of a conflict, a competition's specific rules prevail over these Rules for that competition only.

CyLimit reserves the right to determine, at its discretion, the number, format, frequency and conditions of competitions, and to modify or withdraw them at any time. The applicable version of the Rules is the latest dated version published on the Site.

2. Game principle: free entry and skill game

Participation in the CyLimit game is free: no entry fee and no stake is required or charged to enter a team in a competition. The only possible cost is acquiring rider cards, via packs or the Marketplace, under the conditions set out in our Terms of Service and Marketplace Terms.

The cards you use to build a team remain your property, whether you win or lose: entering a competition neither consumes nor removes your cards.

CyLimit is a game of skill. Your objective is to use your cycling knowledge and manager skills to build the best possible team of rider cards, assign them roles and enter it in a division and a competition. The outcome of a competition depends solely on the real performances of the riders represented by your cards, measured during real races. Rankings are in no way determined by chance.

3. Team composition, roles, divisions and rarities

A team is made up of rider cards. Depending on the competition, you may or may not assign cycling roles to them (some competitions are played without roles). When roles apply, they can be the following:

  • Captain (cap), benefits from a points bonus (see Article 4)
  • Leader (leader)
  • Climber (climber)
  • Sprinter (sprinter)
  • Domestic (domestic)
  • Free electron (free electron)

The number of cards required (up to five cards), the allowed roles and the eligible rarities depend on the division and the competition; they are shown on the relevant game page. Each division defines, for each rarity, eligibility rules (minimum and maximum number of cards allowed).

NFT cards (blue / pink / yellow) : Genuine non-fungible tokens (ERC-721) recorded on the Base blockchain. Acquiring and holding them is reserved for adults (see Article 9).

Off-chain cards (white) : Non-NFT game items, with no monetary value, kept in your CyLimit inventory. They may be played by anyone, including without any NFT.

The GLOBAL game mode is available to Users who have reached account level 10. Special Events may apply specific rules, in particular per-card usage limits (a given card may be entered only a limited number of times during the event). These conditions are shown on the event page.

4. Scoring

Each card's score comes from the real performance of the rider it represents, measured for the relevant race. That performance is assessed against several objective criteria (for example: stage and general classification rankings, jerseys, points scored in the points and mountains classifications, presence in the breakaway or at intermediate sprints, finishing the race), each weighted by a coefficient specific to the role assigned to the card. The full list of criteria, their coefficients and the applicable caps are specific to each division and competition, and are shown on the relevant game page. The weighted sum of these criteria forms the card's base score.

Deterministic bonuses, fixed at the time your team is created or modified, are then applied to the base score:

Captain bonus : Uplift applied to the card you designate as captain.

Level / XP bonus : Uplift based on the experience (XP) accumulated by the card. Reselling a card halves the XP attached to it.

Depending on the division, competition or Special Event, other bonuses may also apply. The bonuses in effect and their values are shown in the game interface and may change.

Where, for circumstances beyond our control, results data for a rider is unavailable at the close of a competition's score calculation, only a limited set of statistics may be taken into account to determine that rider's final score.

The per-role coefficients and the calculation applied to each race can be viewed in the scoring module accessible from the game page and in our Help Center.

5. Rankings, winners and finalisation

Teams are ranked within their division and competition (the leaderboard). Depending on the competition, the winners are the Users who obtained the highest number of points at the end of the relevant period and/or who reached point targets shown on the game page. In the event of a tie, the User who entered their team first is ranked higher, unless otherwise stated on the competition page.

Rankings and reward allocation are validated and finalised by CyLimit after the end of the competition period and the receipt of race data. CyLimit does not guarantee real-time calculation or automatic allocation of results.

CyLimit reserves the right to exclude from a competition, disqualify or deny a reward to any User who fails to comply with these Rules, the Terms of Service or any applicable supplementary terms, or who is reasonably suspected of fraud, cheating or the use of multiple accounts.

6. Rewards

The rewards available for a competition are communicated before and/or during the entry period, on the game page. They depend on your team's final ranking and/or the number of points obtained. Rewards may include, in particular:

  • NFT cards (blue / pink / yellow), genuine tokens on Base;
  • USDC (a crypto-asset with real value, on Base);
  • USDC jackpot (shared reward pool);
  • Bidons and white bidons (internal virtual currency);
  • XP (card experience points).

Only NFTs, USDC and the USDC jackpot (and, for French residents, the ETH referred to below) have real value. Bidons, white bidons and XP are an internal, closed-loop virtual currency: they cannot be purchased, have no monetary value, constitute neither electronic money nor a means of payment within the meaning of the French Monetary and Financial Code, and cannot be cashed out or converted into money.

Rewards are allocated by manual claim from your account. Withdrawing USDC off-platform requires a wallet controlled by you via Coinbase and, where applicable, compliance with the requirements applicable to your account.

Regime specific to French residents. For Users residing in France (FR jurisdiction), any monetary reward is paid in ETH on the Base blockchain (not in USDC). The euro value of the reward is frozen at the time of distribution, at the EUR/ETH rate applicable at that moment; value fluctuations after distribution are not borne by CyLimit. This regime results from the JONUM regulation and from the prohibition on stablecoins as rewards for French residents.

7. Reward caps (French residents)

Pursuant to the JONUM regulation, CyLimit contractually undertakes to comply, for each User residing in France, with the following caps:

  • rewards in kind (in particular NFT cards and game items) granted to a single player may not exceed €1,000 per calendar year;
  • rewards in crypto-assets granted to a single player may not exceed €25,000 per calendar year;
  • the total value of rewards distributed by CyLimit for a single game may not exceed 20% of the turnover of that game.

Reward value is assessed in euro equivalent, at the rate applicable at the precise moment the player obtains the reward.

8. Chance and probabilities

A competition's ranking is never random: it depends solely on the riders' real performances (see Articles 2 and 4). Chance only applies to two matters, for which the conditions are disclosed:

Pack contents : A pack's rarity is fixed and known in advance; chance only determines which rider you obtain, by uniform draw among the eligible riders. The probability of obtaining each rider is displayed before purchase.

Allocation of reward NFTs : Where an NFT is awarded as a reward, the specific rider allocated to the winner may result from a draw among a set of NFTs, weighted according to the rank obtained.

The terms for purchasing packs and cards, the right of withdrawal (waiver of the 14-day period for digital content supplied immediately) and refunds are set out in our Terms of Service and our Marketplace Terms.

9. JONUM compliance and responsible gaming (French residents)

For Users residing in France (FR jurisdiction), participation in competitions involving NFT cards falls under the regime for monetisable digital object games (JONUM) established by Law No. 2024-449 (SREN), Decree No. 2026-60 and the order (arrêté) of 4 February 2026. CyLimit's declaration to the French National Gaming Authority (ANJ) is in progress.

Participation in these competitions is reserved for persons aged 18 or over. Age is verified during the identity-verification (KYC) procedure carried out by our provider Didit; any minor detected is blocked. Play using white cards only remains open to all.

After acquiring a first coloured NFT, you have 30 days of provisional access. Failing identity verification within that period, the play and resale of your NFTs are locked until your KYC is validated; white cards and bidons are never locked.

Moderation tools are made available to you:

  • Spending limit over a rolling 7-day period, expressed in euros, applicable to your NFT acquisitions: any decrease takes effect immediately, any increase no earlier than 48 hours after the last change;
  • Play-time limit over 7 days, with alerts when 75% of the time is reached (and at the latest 30 minutes before the deadline), then 10 minutes before the deadline, and forced logout at the deadline;
  • Self-exclusion lasting from 48 hours to 12 months, irreversible, together with an anti-account-recreation mechanism.

Your gaming activity may be dangerous: loss of money, family conflicts, addiction, etc. Find our advice at joueurs-info-service.fr (09 74 75 13 13, call not surcharged).

For details of these tools and access to your moderation settings, see the Responsible Gaming page.

10. Referral programme

CyLimit offers a referral programme whose rewards are paid exclusively in bidons (internal virtual currency with no monetary value).

  • Referred user (godchild): 50 USDC of primary-market spending (auctions or packs paid in USDC) within 6 calendar months gives entitlement to 5,000 bidons;
  • Referrer: 5 tiers based on the number of qualified referred users (1, 5, 10, 20 and 50), granting respectively 5,000, 15,000, 15,000, 25,000 and 60,000 bidons, i.e. up to 120,000 bidons in total. Each tier gives rise to a single manual claim.

The programme's parameters may change. The full conditions are set out on the dedicated referral page.

11. Amendment of the Rules and governing law

CyLimit may amend these Rules at any time. The applicable version is the latest dated version published on the Site; by continuing to participate after an amendment, you accept the version in force.

By taking part in the game, you authorise CyLimit to display publicly, as part of the operation of the game (rankings, competitions), your username and the composition of the teams you enter. This use is strictly limited to operating and promoting the game and is carried out with respect for your privacy, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Rules are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the game is handled in accordance with the complaint and mediation procedures set out in our Terms of Service.
